Striving for a new start

When and why did you leave your country?

In 2018, because I wanted to reunite with my family in Greece.

Where did you start your journey?

 In Pakistan, Quetta

Which countries did you travel through?

Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey

Why did you choose this country rather than another country?

Because my family was there since 2016

What was your principal difficulty once you arrived in the host country?

Find a place to sleep, eat, and have a lawyer for legal and administrative support.

Do you have a job?

Yes, I am an Urdu interpreter in an NGO.

Do you have local friends

Yes, and I feel very lucky for that.

What do you like most in the host country?

That it is safe and we can start over with more decent terms.

What do you do in your spare time?

I meet my friends and go for long walks with my little sister.

What do you want to do in host city?

I would like to continue my studies in medical school.

What do you think will help newcomers?

Having all the necessary information gathered in one place and not on different websites. The information should be available in their languages as many do not know English.

What do you miss about your country?

My dogs as I had to leave them behind and I really miss them.
